Jake Paul banned from attending Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman at UFC 286
Jake Paul won't be able to attend Leon Edwards' title defence against Kamaru Usman at UFC 286 tonight due to a long-standing ban.
The YouTube star has become one of the biggest names in combat sports since his arrival on the scene, having fought some of the UFC's biggest former stars in the boxing ring including Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva. His personal career took a significant dent after losing to British star Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia last month, but the 'Problem Child' remains on course for an MMA debut next after signing with PFL.
Paul is friends with several UFC fighters but the last fight he was permitted to attend came with Usman in 2021 when he brutally knocked out Jorge Masvidal to retain his welterweight title. While at the event, Paul was brought up on the big screen and he received a very negative reception with fans chanting "f*** Jake Paul ".
There was also a skirmish cageside with heavyweight legend Daniel Cormier, who threatened to turn things into a physical altercation after being left unimpressed with the influencer's attitude. However he will not be present to cause more trouble at the latest UFC event which will be Usman's redemption quest against Briton Edwards at London's O2 arena tonight.
It came as a surprise to Paul when he learned of his ban from UFC events after attempting to purchase tickets for the next event following his foray cageside in Florida. "Dana banned me after they were yelling f*** Jake Paul in the stadium, then I tried to go to a different fight and all of our tickets were declined. His assistant was like 'get the f*** out of here', and then escorted me out of the event," Paul said on his podcast.
Logan Paul and KSI announce new partnership with UFC president Dana WhitePaul has a negative relationship with UFC president Dana White after making it his mission to improve conditions and pay for fighters on the kingpin's roster. And the American has even gone as far as suggesting that White has deliberately tried to sabotage his boxing fights. "It's nothing really personal with Dana, I just don't like how he treats his fights. He's done vindictive things to try and f*** up my fights, he was basically sending cease and desist letters to my team about content that I had posted with him in it, threatening to sue me unless I took the content down promoting my fight," Paul told Anthony Pompliano.
"We think he was the one to send the video to the commission of Anderson saying he got knocked out in sparring. That really f***ed up the pay-per-view and the ticket sales, we saw all the pre-buy numbers tank the week of the fight because everybody thought it was off."
