The Hamper Gift is something special for a loved one this Mother's Day

Mothering Sunday is nearly here, and what better way to treat them than to give them a variety of goodies they can have a good rummage through.

A hamper is, not so much a 'safe' option, but one that you can trust they will love regardless of what is inside.

Cutter & Squidge have a variety of treats and smellies for shoppers to bag, and you can still order Mother's Day bits from them with next day delivery.

Here is our last minute, tried & tested hampers you can still purchase now from the London based bakery.

Mother’s Day Relaxation Gift bag

Best Mother's Day Hampers we have tried & tested available on Next Day DeliveryThe ultimate taste of luxury, our reviewer loved these handmade champagne truffles in the Cutter and Squidge Mother's Day Relaxation Bag (Narin Flanders)

from

What’s in it: Tin of luxury hot chocolate, a box of 16 handmade Marc De Champagne truffles, jar of raspberry and lime bath salts and a box of English Breakfast Tea all delivered in a Cutter and Squidge reusable tote bag.

Why we love it: offers artisan baked goodies and hampers for delivery nationwide and is one of my go-to sites for something a bit special that’s the ultimate treat people wouldn’t buy themselves.

Having been to Cutter and Squidge for afternoon tea before, I’m familiar with their cakes, including their iconic signature biskies, which are a cross between a cake and cookie.

But this bag is something a little bit different and a bit lighter and all the better for it.

I loved how the strong the fragrance of the bath salts became in a hot bath while the hot chocolate in particular made for a lovely treat - especially in the cold weather at the moment.

But the absolute revelation was the handmade truffles. Lightly rolled in icing sugar these delicious milk chocolate morsels are the kind of luxurious chocolate that can be savoured one at a time and are absolutely not for sharing.

Tuck a paperback in there too so I can enjoy my bath with a brew, a book and my champagne chocs and this is basically my dream way to spend Mother’s Day.

Perfect for: Mums in need of a spot of me time.

What’s in it: Two 200g truckles of cheese - Black Bomber (an extra mature cheddar) and the Bouncing Berry (cheddar with cranberries) - a jar of fig and apple chutney, buttermilk crackers, dark chocolate sea salt caramel pearls, English breakfast tea, shortbread biscuits and strawberry jam with a small slate serving board to put everything on, all delivered in a cute reusable hamper.

Why we love it: If you’re looking for something with the wow factor this Mother’s Day, this is a great choice. For the price you get a lot included - and Snowdonia don’t charge extra for delivery, making it even better value.

As a long-time fan of Snowdonia Cheese for me the star of the show was the two truckles, especially the cranberry cheddar which I’ve never had before.

Paired with the chutney, which has a lovely crisp bite to it that goes well with the creamy cheese, and the buttermilk crackers it’s pretty much the perfect meal. The slate board to serve it on was a lovely touch too.

While I was drawn to the savoury elements first, everything included in the hamper was delicious. I loved the chocolate caramel pearls and, while I’m still a bit confused about the inclusion of the jam (it doesn’t really feel like it immediately goes with anything else in the basket), it was packed with fruit, not too sweet and delicious on a slice of toast with a cuppa for breakfast.

Perfect for: Cheeselovers - and mums who want a little keepsake for once the food has been eaten (I’ve got the hamper on my dressing table now and am using it to keep toiletries and nail varnishes in).

Cutter and Squidge Mother’s Day Hamper

Best Mother's Day Hampers we have tried & tested available on Next Day DeliveryCutter & Squidge Black Pomegranate Reed Diffuser

What’s in it: a black pomegranate reed diffuser, a luxury hot chocolate tin, box of English breakfast tea, vanilla shortbread box, pack of vanilla fudge and a box of eight vegan chocolate chip cookies.

Why we love it: The are really attractive and indulgent. The contents are an absolute delight and a really nice mix - the reed diffuser being a particularly lovely addition.

I had one of these for my mum last year and loved it, but they seem to have really upped their offerings for 2023, to provide a wonderful at-home afternoon tea style experience.

The reed diffuser is perfect for fans of Jo Malone because it smells just like one of their perfumes, and the vegan cookies are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. As someone who inherited a love of little luxuries from my mum, I’m even going to make them a little monthly treat for myself.

This hamper is like being gifted a warm hug, so it really is the perfect choice for the woman who is so often there to open her arms for one when they’re needed.

Perfect for: Mums who love home comforts and little luxuries

For the Love of Gin Hamper

Price: £80 from Cartwright and Butler

What’s in it: Finders Fruits of the Forest gin, rhubarb and custard sweets, seeded beetroot flatbreads, strawberry and white chocolate biscuits, butter oat crumble biscuits, chocolate wafer crispies, butter fudge in a tin.

Why we love it: The most expensive hamper in this round up, it really is the height of luxury, complete with a full sized bottle of gin too.

The delightful pink hamper is filled with an array of even more pink products - so many it took me a while to actually find them all buried in the shredded paper.

I love how , makong it feel very luxurious, rivalling the likes of without a bottle of gin, making C&B’s feel like decent value for money in comparison.

For me, the best product in the box was the bottle of fruity gin, which is a glorious spring tipple served with ice, lemonade and fresh fruit. But I equally adored the butter fudge tin, because the pink resealable container can be reused and looks very cute on the kitchen counter.

In terms of flavour though, the were dangerously addictive. Baked in small batches at a family run bakery, these Cartwright and Butler treats are incredibly moreish - they’re almost too good to share.

Perfect for: Gin lovers who like to settle down with snacks and a streaming service at the end of a long day
