Strictly lothario Giovanni Pernice's trail of broken hearts amid latest split
Despite their sizzling chemistry and plans to take their relationship to the next level, Giovanni Pernice and Jowita Przystal have abruptly ended their romance just days after going public.
It marks yet another failed romance for Giovanni, who remains ever hopeful about finding love among the hoards of glam ladies in the showbiz world.
Their split seems all the more sudden considering Giovanni, 32, only appeared to confirm their romance earlier this week after months of speculation.
After falling for one another during their time on Strictly, Jowita and Giovanni enjoyed a series of dates around London as they were spotted cosying up to one another.
Unfortunately, 28-year-old professional dancer Jowita joins a long list of ladies the Italian has wooed since making on his debut on the dance floor.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourDespite dating a TOWIE star, an Islander and his own former Strictly partners, Giovanni hasn't yet been able to find The One.
So, as the dust seems to be settling on Gio's latest relationship, here's the lowdown on the lothario's trail of heartbreak.
Georgia May Foote
Corrie star Georgia and Giovanni started dating after meeting on Strictly in 2015.
They confirmed they were moving in together after a month of dating, with the actress saying the dancing pro was "the best thing that had ever happened to her".
By April the following year rumours of an engagement started to swirl when Georgia was spotted with a sparkler on her wedding finger.
However just eight months after they got together, they announced they'd split up.
Georgia wrote on Twitter: "It is with great sadness we have decided to split up. There is nobody else involved. Although it was not an easy decision to make, sometimes you realise that it is better to be friends and this is one of those times.
"We both have very busy work schedules for the rest of the year so we are both going to focus on our upcoming work projects and we wish each other well for the future."
Despite the actress' sweet sentiment, a source told new! magazine, Georgia was 'blindsided' by the split, saying it didn't make sense because the couple had been talking about marriage.
In 2017, Giovanni said he was still in touch with his ex, telling the Lorraine show: 'I'm still in touch with Georgia. You spend so much time with them, it's a shame to finish and then... nothing."
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman 'sign deal' to host Strictly for two more yearsAshley Roberts
Pussycat Doll Ashley, 41, fell for Giovanni in 2018 after meeting him on Strictly Come Dancing.
They weren't partnered together on the show, but by January 2019, the pair confirmed they were dating, with Ashley saying: "We're getting to know each other, and it's nice."
In May the same year, Giovanni shared a loved-up snap of himself and Ashley kissing, writing: "I never thought anyone would ever make me smile, laugh and steal my heart as fast as you did !! I love you amore."
However after a year together, the dancer announced the couple had split, tweeting: "@ImAshleyRoberts and I have made the decision to separate as a couple. We remain friends and wish each other well for the future."
Ashley didn't comment on the break up, but she and Giovanni swiftly deleted photos of each other on Instagram once their split was announced.
Maura Higgins
Love Island's Maura Higgins was first linked to Giovanni in June 2021.
After sharing a series of loved-up photos on Instagram, the couple were even said to be planning to move in together.
However they called it quits after just four months together when Gio was paired with Rose Ayling-Ellis on Strictly.
Maura was said to be "absolutely devastated" after the Italian's work commitments got between them.
"It's all over for now. Maura's absolutely devastated, it appears the Strictly curse has struck again," a source told The Sun.
"Pals are hoping that they can patch things up. But only time will tell whether Giovanni's got the time."
It was later reported the dancer dumped the former ring girl as he feared she risked ruining his chances of winning Strictly Come Dancing.
A source told new! magazine: “Giovanni is taking this really seriously. He’s got a great relationship with Rose. They are doing incredibly well and getting so much love.
“Nobody understands what Strictly is like – it’s such hard work. All your time is taken up and Maura wasn’t given any time by Giovanni.
“You’re not allowed many people in the studio and she wasn’t given an invite. The writing was on the wall.”
Jess Wright
Giovanni and Jess made their first public outing as a couple on March 13 2018, on the red carpet at the TRIC Awards.
But they split after six months before having a very public row at the Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards.
In an exclusive video captured by Mirror Online, Jess is seen shouting at her ex-boyfriend and pointing in his face during a furious row.
The pair walked off from their respective groups for a chat that quickly escalated into an argument.
The former TOWIE star was overheard telling the Strictly Come Dancing professional: "You're full of s**t" and claimed: "You broke my heart, you lied to me!"
