Viewers are finally introduced to Ursula, King Triton (Javier Bardem) and the one and only Sebastian (voiced by Daveed Diggs).

At one point during the trailer, Ariel finally gets transformed into a human as she gets to know Prince Eric while learning how to live as a different species.

The audience also got a proper look at the colourful and extraordinary underwater world that Ariel calls home.

After watching the trailer, fans rushed to social media to share their emotions about the upcoming film - due to be released on May 26.
