A styling expert has shared her two-second hack to turn a normal bra into a strapless one without damaging its material. TikTok user @rarajem claims to use this technique when she forgets to pack a strapless bra on a trip away, allowing her to wear her desired outfit without flashing her bra straps.

She said: "Styling hack when you need a strapless bra. This is one of my most favourite styling hacks. This is best when you're in a pinch or you forget that strapless bra. Say you are on vacation, whatever it may be." In her video, she is seen loosening the straps to as far as they'll go before criss-crossing them over her head and resting them across the cups in her bra.

She then tucks in any extra fabric - and says that's all there is to it.

She adds: "The tip to this is to make sure to loosen the straps in the back as much as possible. Then put them all over [your head and shoulder]. Make sure to tuck in any extra fabric. And voila, you have yourself a strapless bra."

While most users praised her for this idea, other pointed out how it wouldn't work for woman with larger breasts as they need more support.

It comes after a mum shared a cost-effective hack to drying your clothes in just two hours without using a tumble dryer.

Postwoman Alix Byrne, who lives in a one-bedroom apartment with her boyfriend Andrew, found she just couldn't find the space to hang out her clothes, despite having numerous airers.

However, inspiration struck one day while the 24-year-old was putting out her bedding to dry, in what she's since described as her "eureka moment".

Alix recalled: "I was trying to find where else to hang the bed sheet to dry, apart from over the kitchen door which ends up smelling of whatever you’re cooking.

"I usually keep my clothes frame by the radiator, especially in winter and I just thought 'why not throw the bedsheet over the frame, tuck the ends behind the radiator and under the stands then the hot air from the radiator will dry my clothes in hours.'

"I stay in a small, cosy, one bed flat with my partner and we always have two clothes frames at once as we have busy lifestyles and go through a lot of washings which takes up too much space."

Although Alix and Andrew do have a tumble dryer, she argues that this "costs far too much and doesn’t really leave your clothes smelling the best."

Alix continued: "I think the reason this hack would benefit people is it saves money on tumble drying. [...] It saves up space as your clothes would be dry within hours and the clothes horse can be packed away again and into the cupboard.

"Instead of the usual 24 hours and your clothes are still damp – then low and behold, it’s time for another washing! It doesn’t have to be a never-ending cycle anymore."
