A woman was raped in a street while the attacker's friend 'stood as a look-out' in a horrific attack in the early hours of the morning.

Police are desperately trying to identify two men who they would like to speak to after the attack, which took place last year on June, 25.

The assault occurred at around 3am on Houghton Road, Tottenham, when the victim was attacked by one man and another "stood and acted as a look-out".

Metropolitan Police described the first man as being around 5ft 8ins tall with a thick, tidy black beard.

The man, who was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, also said to be possibly "Asian or Turkish" and "did not speak with an English accent".

BBC ’s Crimewatch Live programme has now featured images of two men police would like to speak to in connection to the assault.

In an appeal posted on their website, Metropolitan Police wrote: "The victim, aged in her 30s, was on West Green Road, Tottenham, at around 03:00hrs on Saturday, 25 June 2022 when she was approached by two men.

"They walked to Houghton Road together before the victim was raped by one of the men while the other stood and acted as a lookout.

"Both men walked off together in the direction of West Green Road."

Detective Sergeant Pembe Rayif, from North Area’s Safeguarding Team, said: “This was a traumatic ordeal for the victim and we are doing everything we can to support her and bring the perpetrator to justice.

“We are very keen to speak to the men in the CCTV images we have released and we would ask anyone who can identify them to come forward."

Police have urged anyone with information to get in touch with them.
