'Hooded gunman's 12 passes of target on day Olivia Pratt-Korbel was killed'
The man accused of killing Olivia Pratt-Korbel had travelled to the area where the shooting unfolded 12 times that day, a court heard.
Thomas Cashman, 34, is facing five charges relating to the incident on August 22 last year when the nine-year-old was shot in her own home.
He is accused of embarking on a “ruthless pursuit” to kill Joseph Nee, who was walking from a friend’s house after watching a football match.
The chase ended in the Korbel home on Kingsheath Avenue, Liverpool.
Olivia’s mum Cheryl, 46, opened the door to see what was happening outside. On Wednesday jurors saw an alleged timeline of Cashman’s movements on the day in question from 3pm-9.59pm.

Earlier in the day, around 3pm, Joseph Nee’s white Volkswagen van had been parked there. CCTV footage showed it did not return until 7.53pm.
At one point Cashman could be seen walking to Finch Lane, where Nee’s friend lived, before turning and walking back towards his white Citreon Berlingo van. Cashman does not dispute that the CCTV clips show him.
However, CCTV co-ordinator in Merseyside Police Major Crime Unit Caleb Suggitt also played footage of the events that evening from 9pm onwards.
A clip of Cashman’s van travelling to Aspes Lane and parking up at 8.59pm was shown to jurors. Mr Suggitt then said: “A person alleged to be Thomas Cashman walks along Finch Lane.”
The man is seen on CCTV until 9.22pm but then disappears for 36 minutes. When the figure reappears, he is seen chasing Joseph Nee down Kingsheath Avenue with a gun.
Cashman denies this is him.
At one point the gunman can be seen standing over Mr Nee and goes to shoot a third time but the gun seems to malfunction and Mr Nee runs off in the direction of the Korbels’ home. After firing five bullets, including the one that hit and killed Olivia, the gunman is thought to have fled on foot.
Mr Nee was able to phone for help and was picked up in a black car by several men, the court heard.
Jurors were shown CCTV three people carried Mr Nee, unconscious, into Whiston Hospital, Merseyside.
