Jordan Banjo has said getting a vasectomy felt like the "natural" decision for himself and his wife Naomi to come to.

Diversity star Jordan, 30, and his wife Naomi are already proud parents to two children; Cassius, four, and three-year-old Mayowa. And Naomi is currently pregnant with the couple's third child, as the couple announced the happy news in October.

Ahead of the arrival of their third bundle of joy, Jordan opted to have a vasectomy done, also known as male sterilisation.

The NHS explains a vasectomy is "a surgical procedure to cut or seal the tubes that carry a man's sperm to permanently prevent pregnancy", however the op can be reversed.

Jordan has been incredibly honest with his fans about his decision to have the procedure done and even shared a video of him limping back to the car in the aftermath on his Instagram page.

Now, in an exclusive interview with the Mirror Jordan, who is taking part in Food Waste Action Week, has said the operation felt like the "natural" decision for himself and his family.

When asked about the decision to share his journey, Jordan joked: "I'm a catastrophic over-sharer by the sounds of it! It's probably a bad reflection on me."

He then went on to explain: "I just didn't think it was a big deal. So many people are going through times in life whether its vasectomies, this, that – everyone's got something going on.

"I honestly didn't think it was a big deal. For some people I understand it might be a bit more of a like a huge decision and it might take a bit more of a toll.

"But for me and Naomi, we're super fortunate. We've got our two bubbies now and a third on the way. Everything has gone our way in that aspect, we're super grateful for it.

"So for me as much as it's been lovely that way, I was being honest about the other way as well and that was it really."

When asked how he came to the decision, Jordan said: "It was something we both spoke about and once you've got two kids, third on the way it's obviously going to be a natural thing that comes up somewhere along the way – you've obviously got to cap it at some point, depending on how many kids you wanna have.

"And we feel like we're at the right place and we just kind of went for it."

Asked about how he's feeling now, Jordan revealed: "It's been less than two weeks, about a week and a half, I feel fine, back to normal, ready to crack on so yeah, all good!"
