Danielle Lloyd says she considered taking her own life amid 'stress' of fame

Danielle Lloyd has spoken candidly about fame this week, with her saying that she once contemplated taking her own life due to "feeling the stress of being in the spotlight".

The TV personality, 39, rose to fame almost two decades ago during her pageant and modelling career. The former 'WAG' has since appeared on numerous reality TV shows.

And although she feels "fortunate" to have enjoyed such success in her career, Danielle has revealed that it hasn't come without its challenges.

She spoke about fame during an interview with Nigel Farage, 58, last night. Danielle appeared as a guest on his eponymous GB News show, in the Talking Pints segment.

After discussing the height of her fame, Nigel said celebrities can often be scrutinised, such as over their appearances, and asked: "What's it like living under that kind of spotlight?"

Danielle responded: "It can take its toll like I've had really down days, I've actually been really down, I had a lot of problems and ended up in rehab. I was really depressed."

"I actually did consider taking my own life at one point and it all was down to feeling the stress of being in the spotlight. It was just all too much," she further commented.

Asked about competition between celebrities, Danielle suggested that it's more of an issue for younger celebrities.

She said: "Until you're older, I think a lot of the celebrities are still like that now especially like you get your Love Island [stars] and they're all fighting for the same jobs".

Danielle said she has "moved out of that" now that she is older, suggesting that she is comfortable in her "normal life," which includes her being a mum to her five children.

She said: "If I want to step back into [the spotlight] and come down to London and do a bit of work now and again, I can, and then go back to my normal life. That's what I love."

Daniella - who described showbiz as a "hard industry to be in" - also said: "I've been fortunate enough to have such a long career and I'm thankful that I'm still be around".

The interview concluded with Danielle being asked if she's happy, with her saying: "I am really happy. I'm in a really good place and everything I've been through in the past has got me where I am today. It's been one big lesson".
