Many of us can only dream of counting a member of the Royal Family as one of our godparents. It is only for the lucky few who are able to do this, and only three who are reportedly fortunate enough to call Prince William their godfather.

The Prince of Wales himself has three known godchildren and first took on the job when he was 16 in 1999 when he became a godfather of Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece and Denmark.

Constantine was born October 29, 1998, in New York City and is the eldest son of Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece. He is also the grandson of the late King Constantine II who passed away aged 82 at the start of this year.

He has an elder sister named Princess Maria-Olympia and was later joined by younger brothers Prince Achileas-Andreas, Prince Odysseas-Kimon and Prince Aristidis-Stavros.

Constantine was christened in a Greek Orthodox ceremony at St Sophia’s Cathedral in Bayswater, London on April 15, 1999 and was given a number of famous godparents, including Prince William, King Felipe VI of Spain and the Crown Prince of Denmark.

The ceremony was memorable for many because Prince William, who was just 16 at the time, was wearing his arm in a sling following surgery to fix his broken finger sustained during a rugby match.

Owing to the fact that the Greek monarchy was abolished in the 1970s, the family split their time living between the US and the UK - as well as other European countries.

When Prince Constantine was young, the family lived in London and he began his education at Wetherby Preparatory School in Notting Hill - the same school that Prince William attended between 1987 and 1990.

Later he would go on to attend Wellington College in Berkshire where he graduated in 2017, before he went on to study at Georgetown University in Washington D.C.

The prince has many interests, namely painting and sculpting which are often inspired by Greek mythology.

He will certainly never have to worry about experiencing any financial trouble in the future as it is estimated he is worth a cool $300 million.

Constantine was most recently seen attending his grandfather's funeral in Athens earlier this year alongside his grandmother, parents and four siblings.

Prince William also has two other godchildren. The first of these is the now 20-year-old son of his former nanny, Alexandra ‘Tiggy’ Pettifer (nee Legge-Bourke), Thomas Pettifer who royal fans will remember as one of the pageboys when the Prince and Princess of Wales married in 2011.

The second is Grace Van-Cutsem. Grace is better known to many as ‘the grumpy bridesmaid’ after she covered her ears on the Buckingham Palace balcony as they cheered for the couple after their wedding.

While it has never been confirmed as it was treated as a private family matter, many people assume that Prince William is also Mia Tindall's godfather. Her Mother, Zara Tindall, is Prince George's godmother and Prince William was pictured attending Mia's christening along with one of Mike Tindall's closest friends.
