Man baffles everyone with his savoury birthday cake made of ham and potato
A man has left viewers baffled after sharing his savoury birthday cake.
He says his girlfriend made him a ham and potato cake for the special occasion, because he's not a fan of sweets, MyLondon reports.
The birthday boy went on social media to share the special creation, which was a multi-layer cake created from savoury vegetable and meat.
Posting on Reddit, he attached the image of the cake that his partner had cooked, the Daily Record reports.
The man captioned the post: "My girlfriend made me a ham and potato cake for my birthday since I don’t like sweets.”

The man said: “For everyone asking, we heated it up for 2 minutes in the microwave before eating it.”
The controversial cake was quick to stir up conversation on social media with people keen to give their thoughts on the creation.
Many people were appalled by the birthday surprise, stating it made them 'gag'.
One person said: “This looks to me like I would gag and throw up after one bite.”
Another commented: “I wouldn’t. It is possible to make a delicious sandwich cake with ham. This isn’t it.”
A third said: “This is horrendous. I can't tell if it's seasoned or just dirty. Is it meant to be eaten hot or cold?”
However, many other people appreciated the girlfriend’s efforts to cater to her partner’s taste.

It was not the first time seeing a ‘cake’ like this for others who pointed out that it was similar to a Scandinavian dish, such as a voileipäkakku or smögårstårta.
One person wrote: “I think this is a step towards reinventing voileipäkakku or smögårstårta.
"Literal translation would be sandwich cake and it is popular in Finland for many larger family gatherings.”
