Fans couldn't get over the likeness between Jake and son Buster

EastEnders actor Jake Wood shared a picture of his rarely seen son, Buster, to social media, leaving fans shocked at the pair’s likeness

The actor, who was famous for his role on the BBC One soap as Max Branning, shared the image in order to celebrate Buster’s 15th birthday.

Jake, 50, posted a sweet caption alongside the picture of his son, thanking him for bringing joy to his life and telling him he was proud of the man he is becoming.

He wrote: "Wishing a very happy 15th birthday to our beautiful boy.

"We are so proud of you Bussy, of the lovely young man you are becoming

In the image Jake shared, Buster could be seen holding up and pointing to a personalised box of cereal, which read “happy birthday” on the front, clad in a brown hoodie.

Fans were quick to point out the likeness between Buster and his father, taking to the comment section to discuss the pair’s similarities.

One follower typed: "He is your double," while another commented: "Image of your lovely dad."

A third agreed and said: "Spit of your Dad!!", while a fourth wished Buster a happy birthday, writing: “Happy birthday Buster, you look so much like your dad.”

Jake shares Buster and 17-year-old daughter Amber, with wife Alison Murray. The couple married in 2001 and renewed their vows in 2018.

The actor recently reprised his role in West End show 2.22 A Ghost Story earlier this month, and will continue to do so until the end of the run.

Jake originally starred in the show when it opened in summer 2021 at the Noel Coward Theatre.

Speaking about his return, Jake said: “It was an honour to originate the role of Ben at the Noel Coward, winning the What’s On Stage best supporting performer in a male identifying role in a play Award for 2021, and I am so excited to be rejoining the cast until the end of April.

"Danny Robins’ script is funny, touching, and so entertaining and easily the best play I have ever read. If you’ve seen the show before, come back and see it again and I promise that you will enjoy it just as much as I know I will the second time around."
