Deciding on a baby name is always a difficult task for parents and the choice is often a hot topic of conversation for families. It's no different for celebrities, yet their decision often comes with public scrutiny, especially if they pick something more unusual.

With this in mind, it's therefore no surprise that some A-list parents have fallen foul of baby name regret, and had to change their decision before it was too late.

Most recently, Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian sisters, has admitted she and her baby's father, rapper Travis Scott, have changed their little boy's name from Wolf to Aire - pronounced 'air'.

According to a BabyCenter survey, 11 per cent of parents experience baby name remorse. More than a third of these doubting parents admit that if they could have a do-over, they would pick a different name.

Kylie is not alone, as there are plenty of other showbiz parents that have had to think twice about their baby name choices. Here we take a look...

A month after Kylie and Travis' baby was born last February, the make-up mogul explained on her Instagram stories that Wolf didn't quite suit and that they wanted to change his name, but her lips remained sealed about the new moniker.

She wrote on Instagram: "FYI Our son's name isn't Wolf anymore. We just really didn't feel like it was him."

And later told USA Today: "We had to quickly sign the birth certificate. And then I knew the second I signed that I was probably gonna change his name."

It wasn't until her Paris Fashion Week appearance two days ago that she revealed the 11-month-old's new name as Aire following the regret.

Twitter owner Elon Musk and his singer girlfriend Grimes gave their baby son an on-brand futuristic name - X Æ A-12.

The chief executive explained that it was inspired by the couple's favourite aircraft along with the elven spelling of 'love'.

But according to TMZ, they had to tweak the chosen name to pass California law that limits birth certificate names to only the English alphabet, not symbols.

They reportedly listed his first name as X and the middle name as Æ A-12 - with Æ pronounced as 'ash'.

Comedian Amy Schumer realised the chosen name for her baby could be interpreted very wrongly by others, and ended up changing it a year later.

In May 2019, the couple announced they had named their son Gene Attell.

But by April 2020, during an episode of the Amy Schumer Presents: 3 Girls, 1 Keith podcast, she revealed they changed their son’s name to Gene David.

"It was Gene Attell Fischer, but we realised that we by accident [had] named our son 'genital'," she declared.

Grey's Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone and her husband actor Rob Giles appear to have gone back on their decision for their baby girl's name.

When her daughter was born in December 2019, Caterina shared photos online of their newborn, announcing her name as Arwen.

But four months later, the actress shared another snap of the little girl and revealed her name had been altered.

"By the way, we went with what was her middle name. Lucinda. 'Lucky' for short," she captioned the photo.

A British celebrity couple, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, also had to think twice when it came to naming their only daughter, Rose.

The singer turned presenter has always been honest about her pregnancies and mum mishaps, so it was no surprise when she let her followers in on the process of naming her fourth child.

Stacey, who is currently expecting her fifth child, confessed to calling Rose 'Princess Pickle' for the first few weeks, as she calls all her little ones 'pickles'.

But it turns out she and former EastEnders actor Joe originally wanted to name their daughter Autumn Solomon-Swash - after the month she was born.

They later realised her initials would unfortunately spell out 'A.S.S' so they settled with Rose in the end. Her full name is Rose Opal Esmè Solomon-Swash.
