Missing woman Holly Whittaker, 28, found dead after 11-day search in Nottingham
A missing woman has sadly been found dead in a city centre.
Holly Whittaker was missing for eleven days, but cops said her body was sadly found on Tuesday.
Cops have been searching for the 28-year-old since September 4, when she was last seen in the Mapperley area of Nottingham.
On Tuesday afternoon, a body was found in Nottingham city centre.
Police said the person has been formally identified as Holly.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our specially-trained officers are supporting Holly’s family at this difficult time, following yesterday’s tragic development.
“While the circumstances are still being investigated, at this time, we are not treating her death as suspicious.
“We would like to thank everyone who came forward with any information or shared our public appeals since Holly was first reported missing.
“A file will now be prepared for the coroner as our investigations continue.”
