Sarah Ferguson retreats to Austria chalet as new claims of financial negotiations emerge

Sarah Ferguson may reportedly be considering a royal pension to maintain her finances, a royal author has claimed. The former Duchess of York, who has been embroiled in numerous scandals for months, is reportedly negotiating a pension with the Firm to avoid participating in a tell-all interview.

This claim was made by royal author Andrew Lownie, whose paperback edition of his book "Entitled"—including a new chapter—is being released in bookstores today. Speaking to The Mirror, Lownie mentioned that Sarah is likely attempting to negotiate a pension currently, with the result likely affecting her decision on whether or not to conduct a tell-all interview. He stated: “That may be what Fergie’s negotiating at the moment. Can she get a nice pension from them and not have to do an Oprah interview.”

There have been speculations for months that Sarah might be planning a sit-down interview or a tell-all memoir.

These speculations have continued while Sarah has been maintaining a low profile, even seeking refuge at a chalet in Austria.

The idea of a tell-all interview comes after Sarah’s reputation suffered due to the Epstein Files, which revealed that Sarah remained friends with Epstein even after his initial sentencing for child sex offenses.

Being mentioned in the Epstein Files does not inherently indicate any wrongdoing.

In addition to these claims about Sarah seeking a pension, Lownie also claimed to The Mirror that Prince William and King Charles’ request for Sarah and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to undergo a financial audit was denied.

The reason for this is not known, nor is it known if any explanation was provided.

Despite scandals involving their parents, Eugenie and Beatrice are believed to still be included in Royal Family events.

They are even likely to attend their cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding next month.

A representative for Sarah has been contacted for comment. Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment regarding claims about Beatrice and Eugenie.
