A teenage girl was allegedly gang-raped in the toilets at a KFC restaurant by several men.

Four men, between 18 and 24 years old, were arrested after a passerby reportedly came across the crying 13-year-old and listened to her harrowing account. The suspects allegedly attacked the teen after dragging her into the toilets at the fast food chain in the Les Halles district of Paris, at around 10.30pm on Monday night. The men supposedly lured the teenage girl away from her friend and took her into the restroom at the fast food chain in the Forum des Halles shopping centre.

The Paris prosecutor’s office said: "Police officers from the Central police station were alerted by passers-by in the Les Halles area that a young woman had told them she had just been raped."

Police rushed to the scene and detained the four suspects after the victim was reportedly able to point them out.

The four men were arrested on suspicion of the rape of a minor under 15, according to Entreveu. French media reported that they are currently being probed by the Juvenile Protection Unit.

Police said the teen told them she had been spending the evening with friends near a McDonald’s in Chatelet, Paris.

The prosecutor’s office added: "Following a police check, her friend had stayed with the police, while she had followed the group to the KFC in Les Halles."

It was said the teenager agreed to go with the men "to wait" after losing her friend, but she was then allegedly attacked.

The teenager was reportedly rushed to hospital and received medical and psychological help after the horror attack.

The Forum des Halles shopping centre is one of the busiest in Europe but it has reportedly been facing a significant rise in crime, according to Le Parisien.

A major security operation has since been deployed at the shopping centre, which includes dozens of security guards stationed at different floors of the building.
