Dancing On Ice star Carley Stenson has sparked a favouritism row amid her close friendship with Oti Mabuse.

Carley is taking part in the new series of the ITV skating show, of which Oti is a judge alongside ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo. However, the pair are good friends off the screen as professional dancer Oti was partnered with the actress' husband Danny Mac when he took part on Strictly Come Dancing.

The Hollyoaks star insists Oti won't be going easy on her just because they're friends - and she admits she's most worried about being judged by the dancer than any of the other three judges.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, she said: "Thinking about [being judged] makes me feel ugh. I'm really nervous and excited about what Oti's going to say, because she danced with Danny and she's fierce.

"She's a fierce friend and she's already said she's not going to hold back just because we're friends. I want to be judged by Oti, she's amazing. I want full Oti. I'm scared now I said that. I'm not ready for it all."

Carley also confessed she's "hungry" to dance again and also joked she'd love to beat her husband's Strictly successes.

Speaking ahead of the show, she said: "Getting to learn something and hopefully add a string to your bow - I’m extremely grateful to have this opportunity. The glamorous part of it with the costumes! And getting to dance again.

"I’ve been hungry to dance again and I’m fully aware this is going to be different to dancing but I love performing and to do it in any capacity because it's in my blood. It’s an incredible opportunity, I would never get to do this on my own."

Carley isn't worried about the judges giving their verdicts on her performance - and she wants all the constructive criticism.

She added: " I thrive off it! Obviously if it gets personal then it’s not very nice but it’s not that type of show.

"I’m so used to doing auditions where you don’t get anything apart from ‘Sorry. You weren’t right.’ and that is worse because you can’t do anything with that! I want to be the best that I can be so tell me!"
