Mel B reckons her Spice Girl pal Victoria Beckham may have stitched her up – by sending her to meet Prince William in a dress with a slash across the cleavage.

Scary Spice had the racy red outfit created specially by ex-bandmate-turned-designer Victoria for last year’s ceremony to get her MBE.

But Mel revealed it led to an awkward moment as he tried to pin it on her chest.

Recalling her embarrassment Mel, 47, giggled: “Victoria knew… she knew. I think she did a number on me.”

She told a US TV audience: “I got awarded this medal, you go to Buckingham Palace and William gave me my medal. It was quite embarrassing… I didn’t realise it goes on your chest.

“Victoria designed my dress for the occasion – and she put a big slit right there. I was like, ‘Oh, sorry!’” Speaking on US show Live With Ryan and Kelly to promote her appearance on reality show Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, Mel revealed the prince was unfazed – but seemed unsure why she was being honoured.

She said: “I’ve met the royals before so he was like, ‘Hey, how are you? So, why are you here, is it Spice Girls?’ And I was like, ‘I wish we were getting an MBE for the Spice Girls!’”

Explaining it was for her domestic abuse work, she said: “He was like, ‘Tell me about that’. I’m thinking, there’s a line behind that want their medals, I don’t think we’ve time.”
