Major fire shuts A2 in Kent causing travel chaos

A significant fire has broken out on the eastbound A2 in Kent, causing chaos and necessitating a complete closure between the A227 Gravesend junction and M2 Junction 1 at Rochester.

Emergency services, including Kent Police, the Fire Brigade, and National Highways, are combating the blaze and working to clear the scene.
