Heavyweight boxer Oleksandr Usyk, who had been expected in London for the heavyweight bout between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, was detained by police in Krakow, Poland

Oleksandr Usyk has been detained by police at Krakow airport, days before he was due in London to take in the fight between Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua.

The Ukrainian boxer, 37, was spotted being led away by uniformed men with his hands behind his back. At the time of writing, circumstances around his arrest remain unclear.

Ukrainian politician Jean Beleniuk said on social media: "Oleksandr Usyk was arrested at Krakow airport. The circumstances are being clarified."

Usyk is set to face Tyson Fury once again on December 21st after defeating him earlier this year to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.
