Mike Lynch’s teenage daughter among those missing after the Bayesian yacht sinks in Sicily

Mike Lynch’s daughter is among the seven people still missing after a British-flagged superyacht capsized off the coast of Sicily in the early hours of this morning, it was reported.

The tech entrepreneur, once described as Britain’s Bill Gates, was on board the 49-metre ‘Bayesian’ when it was struck by a violent storm around 5am — but was not one of the 15 people rescued.

His 18-year-old daughter Hannah is also missing in the water, Salvo Cocina, head of the Civil Protection Agency in Sicily, told AFP.

The body of one man was discovered floating near the vessel half a mile offshore from Italy’s island’s largest city, Palermo.
