Kamala Harris and Donald Trump met for the first time in a fiery, energetic debate at the National Constitution Center with less than two months until the November election.

The pair debated a variety of subjects, and the conversation between the candidates has sparked countless theories online about not only the election, but also Kamala’s earrings.

‘Eagle eyed’ viewers pointed out Kamala’s earrings – pearls with a gold loop around them – and claimed they were earphones to help her in the debate.

One went as far as posting a link to a pair of pearl earphones, claiming they were the ones which the democratic nominee wore to aide her performance in the debate.

The earphones and Kamala’s earrings only have one thing in common, however – a pearl.

There is no evidence to indicate Kamala used earphones to help herself at the debate, even if social media believes it. One user appeared to find a pair of Tiffany earrings which were identical to the ones Kamala wore.

It’s the second time in just a week that Kamala’s ‘headphone wearing’ has come into question by conspiracy theorists.

She had been filmed using wired headphones while taking a call last week, prompting conservatives to claim it was a way to avoid talking to the press.

Tomi Lahren, a right-wing commentator, wrote: ‘Feels like her campaign specifically had her use those old-school headphones instead to make the point she was on the phone and that’s why she couldn’t interact!’

Kamala has been known to use wired headphones for years, having been photographed wearing them and holding them on multiple occasions.

She apparently believes AirPods or Bluetooth headphones are a ‘security risk’, Politico reported.
