Dudley stabbing: Armed police ’everywhere’ after triple injury incident

West Midlands Ambulance Service has said two air ambulances to the horror in Dudley, where witnesses described "scary" scenes of disorder throughout the afternoon

A man is seriously injured after being stabbed amid "chaos" on a residential street today.

The road, in Dudley, West Midlands, remains sealed off as police investigate the stabbing, which also left two other men hurt. A police helicopter was seen while two air ambulances were deployed.

One witness said armed police were "everywhere" and described the scenes as "crazy". Another said: "It was chaos. About five Ambulances. Hope whoever involved will be okay."

Three men have been arrested, West Midlands Police said. A spokesman continued: "We were called to Buffery Road, Dudley, just after 2.05pm today. One man was found with serious stab wounds. Two men have been arrested and will be questioned in due course.

"We’re in the early stages of our investigation and a scene is currently in place. Anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote log 2837 of 21/6/24."

Police called paramedics to the incident upon arrival, reports Birmingham Live. It happened in the south of market town Dudley, near a primary school, local shops and homes. 

A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called by West Midlands Police to reports of a stabbing on Buffery Road, Dudley at 2.09pm. Three ambulances, two paramedic officers, a trauma doctor and critical care paramedic, the WMAS Critical Care Car, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance responded to the scene. Upon arrival, ambulance staff found three men who were injured, one seriously."

It is unclear if any of the men have been taken to hospital for treatment. The ages of the men are yet to be disclosed by the emergency services. The investigation continues.
