Kate shares new photo of smiling Charlotte to celebrate her ninth birthday
Prince William and Kate Middleton released a new picture of Princess Charlotte to mark her ninth birthday.
The Prince and Princess of Wales released a new image of their daughter to celebrate her birthday today.
The pair said on their X account KensingtonRoyal: ‘Happy 9th Birthday, Princess Charlotte! Thank you for all of the kind messages today.’
Taken by Kate, it shows a smiling Charlotte leaning against a fence dressed in a denim skirt, top and a red cardigan with jasmine flowers next to her.
The adorable snap was taken in Windsor where the family lives.

It comes days after Kate Middleton released an unedited picture of Prince Louis on his sixth birthday last week.
Releasing a new birthday snap of each of their three children has become a tradition for the Waleses.
Last year, the pair shared a cheerful picture of Charlotte on her birthday, showing her smiling broadly and donning a floral dress.
The Princess, whose full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, is the third in the line of succession after her dad and Prince George, 10.
The second youngest royal is said to be feisty compared to her older brother.
George, Charlotte and Louis attend Lambrook preparatory school in Berkshire.
Prince William revealed what her daughter is like at home during an official appearance in the West Midlands, The Mirror reports.
The future King entertained students by sharing his favourite dad joke during a school visit last week.

Dad William told how Charlotte responds when anyone asks her age in a video released by MailOnline.
William said: ‘If you ask her, she says she’s 16.
‘Charlotte says, “I’m six now, I’ll do whatever I want.’
The royal family has had a rocky start to the new year following King Charles’s and Kate’s cancer announcements.
Charlotte’s grandfather King Charles returned to work on Tuesday with a visit to a cancer unit in London accompanied by Queen Camilla.
It comes after the Palace announced the monarch’s cancer diagnosis in February which was discovered while he had unrelated treatment for a benign prostate enlargement.
While the King has returned to public engagements, he continues to receive cancer treatment as an outpatient.
Kate shocked the nation when she revealed her cancer diagnosis in March.
The future Queen highlighted the impact on their young family in a video message, saying ‘it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.’
