'Cougar', 57, says people always mistake her boyfriend, 37, for her son

A woman in an age-gap relationship has revealed how strangers often mistake her younger boyfriend for her son but says they find it funny. Rae Richmond, 57, has been with her partner Cam, 37, for two years and are more in love than ever, despite what other people and some of her family think.

Explaining that she has two children, a son aged 36 and a daughter aged 27, she admits that it took a little while for her kids to get on board with her new partner. In an exclusive interview, she told the Mirror: “My son is not thrilled with Cam’s age. He has gotten more comfortable with it but at first, he had a real problem with it! My son lives in New York and we live in Florida. They have not met yet. He had quite a bit to say when we got together!”

And it’s not just the couple’s age gap that has got people talking. Rae and Cam have built up a lucrative business sharing their sexual exploits on OnlyFans. Discussing how they started selling their content, Rae says: “We started filming our hot bedroom romps and Cam suggested that I should think about sharing it. I did extensive market research and determined that the mature market along with age gap content were two very large and somewhat underserved segments of the adult world.

“I knew that I could make money at it but I never imagined I would be as wildly successful - we’re in the top 1% of the whole platform!” Rae and Cam started their OnlyFans in May 2023, before which Rae had never done anything like it before. She says: “I’ve had a 30-year corporate career in upper management for a large medical corporation. I am about to leave my job as I have well surpassed that income, which is six figures, as a content creator.”

The couple, who met in a discussion group, only film with each other so they haven’t had to deal with any feelings watching the other with someone else. She says: “My OnlyFans is a part of our relationship and is just us, no other partners for either of us. At some point, we may collaborate with other creators but that will be together only, I don’t intend to create content with anyone aside from Cam.”

Despite their spicy side hustle, Rae says she and Cam have a very normal life outside of work. She says: “We spend time with our dogs Daisy and Dax and cook dinner or go bowling with our friends. Many of our friends don’t know what we do but some do.

“Everyone in our inner circle has been accepting, if not outright supportive. Some are very happy for us and proud of us and our success, and some just don’t say much. I lost some lifelong friends over it though. Should make my 40-year class reunion interesting later this year.”

Rae says that in general, people know that Cam is her boyfriend when they’re out in public but they often get comments on social media disparaging their age gap. She says: "Early on we had a few people do that on my ‘real’ social media but I quickly deleted the comments - and the person! Just recently I received a Facebook message from someone in our group (we are both in recovery, him 2 years and me coming up on 2 years) telling me how awesome it’s been to watch mine and “my son’s” sobriety journey.

"I would have never considered dating someone 20 years younger until Cam. His heart and his soul drew me to him, his gorgeous face and hot body aside! We were drawn to each other - his heart and his passion for life are evident when he speaks. I was intrigued but I never imagined he had a romantic interest in me. When he asked me out, I could not believe my ears."
