Bayern Munich ace Thomas Muller has sent Arsenal star Kai Havertz a stern warning after the two teams were drawn against each other in the Champions League.

The quarter-final draw was conducted on Friday morning and Bayern will make the trip to north London for the first leg, before welcoming the Gunners back to the Allianz for the return fixture. Less than an hour after it was confirmed that the two sides would meet, Muller posted his take on social media.

The Bayern legend took to X, formerly Twitter, to upload a video in which he directly addresses his Germany team-mate. Muller claimed: "And it's Arsenal - Kai Havertz, my friend, I am waiting for you.

"No, it's a nice draw, two very good teams, two very good stadiums, two very good cities, it will be tough but I am always positive - see you, Gunners!"

There are plenty of talking points that come with this meeting of two European giants, but the most notable headline is that Muller and co. will have to contest the first leg at the Emirates without any of their travelling support in attendance.

Bayern Munich fans have been banned from attending the tie in north London due to their conduct during the recent win over Lazio. That clash saw fans throw fireworks onto the pitch for the second time since October, triggering a one-game ban for supporters which comes into effect for the Arsenal trip.

The German side have already confirmed they will not be appealing UEFA's decision. Club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen explained: "We have to accept this punishment. Not only were pyrotechnics set off, but also fired deliberately onto the field, directly endangering bystanders.

"This was such an explicit violation of the conditions of probation that an appeal is unfortunately futile. The fact we now have to play away without the support of our fans is a big blow. A small group of individual offenders have done a disservice to all our supporters and the team."

The quarter-final clash will also see two players already familiar with north London return to the capital in Harry Kane and Eric Dier. The ex-Tottenham duo left Spurs for Bayern in the summer and will be desperate to get one over on their old enemies.
