Piers Morgan could not resist a brutal jibe in Harry Kane's direction after Arsenal drew Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Gunners fan Morgan told Kane that his season was about to get much worse in the aftermath of the tie being set. Mikel Arteta's side will welcome the Bundesliga champions in April after reaching the quarter-final stage via a penalty shootout win over Porto.

It is the first time Arsenal have reached the final eight teams in the competition for 14 years and they will hope to take advantage of Bayern's difficult season to go another step further. Thomas Tuchel's side coasted through the group stage of the Champions League but had to come from behind following a first-leg defeat to Lazio in the last-16 of the competition.

Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham in the summer looking to earn silverware. While the England international has enjoyed a good season personally, racking up 36 goals in just 34 appearances, his new team trail Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and the decision to part with Tuchel has already been made.

Morgan is hopeful that Arsenal will be able to add to Kane's woes. He posted on X: "BOOM! Arsenal v Bayern... Poor Harry's season is about to get a lot worse…"

Kane enjoys a decent record against Arsenal having notched 14 times across 19 appearances in north London derbies. The former Spurs star has an even set of results the north London side with six wins, five draws and six losses.

Whichever team prevails will be faced with a stiff task in the tournament's semi-final. Manchester City or Real Madrid will stand in their way having been paired together at the quarter-final stage as the competition's previous two champions.

A Jude Bellingham-inspired Los Blancos will hope to exert a degree of revenge on Pep Guardiola's side after being knocked out by the treble-winners in last season's semi-final. City in turn will hope to replicate Real's achievements and become just the second team to retain the trophy.

In the opposite half of the draw, Atletico Madrid will welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Wanda Metropolitano in the first leg of their meeting while PSG take on Barcelona. All eight teams will hope to continue their dream of reaching the final at Wembley in June.
