A 'loving' mum has died after choking to death while cooking dinner for her family.

Tributes have been paid to Siobhan Rose Simmonds - known to loved ones as Bonnie - who choked while preparing a meal at her home in Dover, Kent, on Saturday, February 24. The mum-of-two was reportedy found struggling on the floor and rushed to hospital and transferred to intensive care, but sadly died a week later.

Her two-year-old daughter, partner and his son have been left 'devastated' by the 33-year-old's death, but her family said they had taken "solace" in Siobhan's organs being donated. Sister Susan Ababte told Kent Online: “Siobhan was a very funny child and grew up to be such a funny adult. She always wanted to make people laugh.

“When I walked down to the theatre with her when she donated her organs I have never felt so proud in all my life. There was no hesitation from any of the family because we knew it's what she wanted to do.”

Siobhan's family said they were also setting up a crowdfunder to help pay for her funeral, so far raising £3,000. The JustGiving page said: "Siobhan was a naturally caring and special person who with her quirky sense of style loved life and life loved her.

"Her love of music and her wicked sense of humour made her a loveable person. Her courage and thoughtfulness made her deeply cared for by all that knew her."
