Stacey Solomon has shared the extent of her family struggles as she juggles her workload.

The star, who found fame on The X Factor, has since gone on to become a household name and is the face of various television shows and career projects. The mum-of-five admits that while it's tough to maintain such a hectic career, she's trying hard to balance working from home with working away.

Taking to Instagram in view of her 5.9 million followers, the star said: "I had a crazy day yesterday. Meeting with the Sylo team and BBC. Then went to Primark head office for A/W sign offs then a shoot for Bricking It. I got home about 9pm yesterday and went straight to bed.

"Trying so hard to do all of my work away from home jobs on one day so I can work from home as much as possible and be around for school runs and dinner. Trying to get the work/family balance right but I don't know if it's working. Do you ever have those days where you just question everything?"

Stacey added: "Anyway onwards we go. First up product development meeting from home with rehab. Then a research interview for Would I Lie To You and then it's parents evening. Also the veg patch needs painting and today's the first day it's not p***ing it down so I'll try and start that!"

The star went on to reveal that she was painting her vegetable patch in her work clothes, as she had just one hour to spare before she had to dash off for a business meeting. "Everyone's trying their hardest to get it right," she said, adding: "I was having a word with myself, I just thought 'I'm going to say it out loud because there's so many of us in the same position'.

"I'd love to hear my thoughts out loud from someone else. I was basically just thinking to myself, there's no such thing as right balance, there's no such thing as perfect home life balance, whatever, you've just got to take every day as it comes. Every day is a different balance, every part of your life goes up and down, it is what it is. That is perfect."

Her outburst comes after she opened up about having more children. Stacey has a 15-year-old son named Zachary who she shares with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox, and an 11-year-old son named Leighton who she shares with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham. Together with former EastEnders star husband Joe Swash, she is also the mother of four-year-old son Rex, two-year-old daughter Rose, and youngest daughter Belle, who turned one earlier this year. Joe also has a 16-year-old son of his own, named Harry, from a previous relationship with ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous.

Speaking on her BBC show Sort Your Life Out about the idea of adding another baby to her huge brood, the mum-of-five jokingly confessed: "I can't even handle what I have now."
