Celebrities leap to Jedward's defence after Louis Walsh's 'vile' CBB dig
Denise Welch and Gemma Collins are among the stars who have supported Jedward following Louis Walsh's savage digs.
The X Factor judge hasn't been holding back his true feelings while in the Celebrity Big Brother house. During Tuesday night's show, Irish twins John and Edward Grimes, 32, became in the firing line. Louis mentored the brothers while on the 2009 series of the hit ITV singing competition.
He branded them "vile" and claimed he made £5million from the singing duo. Discussing the pair with Colson Smith, Louis said: "They were vile," to which Colson said: “But they’ve done well.” Louis continued: “I got five million quid for them. I swear on my mother’s life.” Colson gasped: “F**king hell. I wish I had a Jedward," as Louis added: “And they were vile. They were novelty. But great for the show.”
Jedward soon hit back at Louis online as they posted: "Louis Walsh is a cold-hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died." John and Edward's close pal Gemma Collins supported the pair as she posted a photo of them together. The Only Way Is Essex star said: "Shocked to see what was said about my boys @jepicpics They are the sweetest talented polite educated kind boys I’ve ever met hence why they are always in my company !!! TEAM JEDWARD #jedward #jepic."
Love Island star Amy Hart agreed with Gemma and commented: "Justice 4 jedward." Big Brother star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace said: "Omg!!! Jedward are NOT VILE... wtf??? Louis is such a b****." Loose Women's Denise Welch added: "I'm hoping that @planetjedward are signing their contracts as we speak!! Go get him guys!!! #CBBUK."
Gemma Collins calls police after troll threatens to break her jawLouis also hit out at Ronan Keating, who was a member of the chart topping band Boyzone that Louis managed. Ronan went on to enjoy success as a solo artist - with Louis continuing to work with him, until they went separate ways creatively.
Life Is A Rollercoaster by Ronan played in the Celebrity Big Brother House during the VIP pop party on Tuesday night. Louis commented: “Great song.” But then he took an unexpected swipe at Ronan as he grumbled: “He was such a p***k.” Speaking to 71-year-old Sharon Osbourne, he went on: “Everybody thinks he’s a lovely guy, do you know what I mean?”
He claimed Ronan has failed to enjoy chart success without him and raged: “He hasn’t had a hit record since I left. He sacked me.” Viewers watching from home were gobsmacked by Louis’s bitter comments - which followed other cold comments he made about iconic pop duo Jedward.
One stunned viewer wrote on X: "Louis Walsh dropping in that Ronan is a p***k and hasn’t had a hit record since Louis left……. Is there ANYONE he likes? Anyone who’s stopped making him money he bad mouths. Evil little troll #cbbuk." Another remarked: "Good god #Louie on #CBBUK is not holding back is he." Someone else typed: "Is they're anyone louie like's get him out #cbbuk."
