Sharon Osbourne reduces Levi Roots to tears before leaving Celebrity Big Brother
Sharon Osbourne’s time in the Celebrity Big Brother house came to an end on Tuesday - but not before leaving Levi Roots in tears.
The 71-year-old reality star was the first ever ‘celebrity lodger’ on the long-running, yet revived, reality show. She was a member of the house but could not be nominated during her time in the house, was in the house for a limited time, and was granted her own personal sleeping quarters during her duration on the show.
On Tuesday night, her time in the house came to an end after nine days of living under constant surveillance alongside fellow stars including 71-year-old fellow X Factor star Louis Walsh, 66-year-old former This Morning host Fern Britton and West End star Marisha Wallace, 38. When she first entered the house, she was tasked by Big Brother with picking three contestants who made the worst first impression.
She picked out 58-year-old businessman Gary Goldsmith, 30-year-old Ibiza Weekender star David Potts and 34-year-old presenter Zeze Millz. All three were then at risk of being put up for eviction, but Sharon then had to later pick just one - selecting Gary who did ultimately then lose a vote against Real Housewives star Lauren Simon, 51.

She picked 26-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin first - but then also picked 65-year-old businessman and musician Levi Roots.

When she was asked to give her reason for picking Levi as a housemate who had left a lasting impression on her, Sharon said: “He’s got something I told you I’m looking for and he’s at peace with the world and he only wants good things and he’s genuinely a good guy.”
She then added: “I really hope his daughters call him. They do not know what they’re missing! Pick up the phone to your dad.” Her comment called back to a previous conversation he’d had in the house.
Sharon also picked Nikita Kuzmin as another housemate that left a big impression on her (ITV)Levi was deeply moved by Sharon’s comments and burst into tears. The reality show judge then hugged the sobbing businessman before making her exit from the house. Viewers watching along were touched by the moment, with one writing: "Sharon's bang on - Levi's daughter's are missing out on getting to know him big time... Parents and life don't last forever sadly, make the most with your parents... #CBBUK #CelebrityBigBrother."
And some viewers questioned if Sharon picking Nikita and Levi would have a positive impact for them both. One speculated on X: "Is it too obvious to think that they’re going to give Levi and Nikita a pass to the final? #CBBUK." Sharon’s exit came after reports speculated she would leave on Tuesday night - after initial reports suggested she would be in the house for only five days.
“Tuesday will be Sharon's last day in the Celebrity Big Brother house," a source close to the show told MailOnline. "She had made it clear from the beginning that she was only staying on the show for a short duration but she has certainly made an long-lasting impact. As always, family comes first and Sharon needs to be back with her husband Ozzy but she will be missed by her housemates, especially as they say goodbye to another celebrity during tonight's eviction."
