Lauren Simon axed from Celebrity Big Brother amid double exit twist
Celebrity Big Brother waved goodbye to another housemate on the ITV series on Tuesday, amid a second exit looming.
Hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu announced Lauren Simon had been voted off the show and would leave immediately, after they were up against Louis Walsh and Fern Britton in the public vote. Lauren and Louis had received the most nomination votes by their fellow housemates, while Fern was chosen by Sharon Osbourne.
Sharon herself geared up for her own exit from the house, as her time as a lodger came to an end. Amid the double exit, the evicted housemate said their goodbyes as they were sent packing during the live show on Tuesday.
Lauren told the hosts she had the best time in the house and was "overwhelmed", before she reunited with her family in the crowd. Sharon had been given the chance to save Lauren from her fate a day earlier, but chose not to.
She saved Zeze Millz from the vote-off instead, over her long-time pal Louis, before placing Fern up in her place. As for Sharon, just as she left she was tasked with naming the housemates that left her with a lasting impression, and she said Nikita Kuzmin and Levi Roots.

Celebrity Big Brother waved goodbye to another housemate on the ITV series on Tuesday (ITV)It comes after reports earlier on Tuesday that Sharon would leave the show amid the second eviction of the series. “Tuesday will be Sharon's last day in the Celebrity Big Brother house," a source close to the show told MailOnline.
"She had made it clear from the beginning that she was only staying on the show for a short duration but she has certainly made an long-lasting impact. As always, family comes first and Sharon needs to be back with her husband Ozzy but she will be missed by her housemates, especially as they say goodbye to another celebrity during tonight's eviction."
Eagle-eyed fans tuning into Late & Live on Monday night spotted a clue that her exit would air within days. As cameras panned live to the house without the stars knowing, we saw the line-up having a party.
There was popcorn, drinks and singing and dancing going on. While it could have been a party to celebrate the end of a task they are about to complete, some viewers questioned if it was actually Sharon's leaving party.

One fan posted: "From the party going on, we can take it that they passed the 'You're Gonna Be a Star' task, or it might be Sharon's leaving do."
Another added: "party for Sharon's last night maybe?" It follows the first eviction of the series on Friday night, as Gary Goldsmith was booted out of the famous house. He had been nominated by Sharon earlier in the week, while Lauren soon joined him as a nominated housemate. The series is set to come to an end on Friday 22 March.
