TikTok creator Leah Smith died on Monday at age 22 after battling Ewing's Sarcoma, with tributes flooding in for the internet personality who bravely documented her cancer battle.

The young internet personality died after battling stage 4 bone cancer, with Leah's fans absolutely devasted over the starlet's sad passing. Her boyfriend, Andrew, shared the news on Monday.

Taking to Leah's social media at the start of the week, to address his girlfriend's 500,000 followers, Andrew shared that she had died on Monday morning.

In the video, Andrew said: "This is just a message to anyone that's followed Leah or gave her any support or any nice comments. I'm sad to say that she passed away today at around 11:30 this morning.

"I just want to say thank you to everyone. All your comments did help - she did actually read all of them. Anyone who said anything nice ever - it means more than you realise. We'll all miss Leah but we'll make sure that we never forget her.

"I want to see everyone speaking about Leah and how amazing she is and how much she helped everyone. We'll never let Leah be forgotten."

Leah was vocal online about her battle with Ewing's Sarcoma, which is a rare type of bone cancer that tends to affect children and young people, with most cases diagnosed in people aged 10 to 20.

The late TikTok star had a backache for around 10 months before she was officially diagnosed with cancer, with her diagnosis coming to light in October 2019. Speaking in 2020, she said: "I had really bad back pains for 10 months. It was constant then I lost all the feeling in my left leg and I knew something was most definitely wrong."

At the time she spoke about starting her TikTok page to share her journey. Leah said: "I wanted to start a TikTok to express my journey and show people my life living with cancer - the ups and downs of it. People absolutely love it."

Tributes have since flooded in for Leah, with X users sharing their condolences. One person penned: "Broke my heart opening the tiktok app and seeing Leah Smith has passed away. So so sad." Another then added: "leah smith passed away???? wtf that's so sad, i've been following her for years, she always made me smile :( rest in peace."

A third went on: "just heard the sad news about leah smith. i have followed her journey for 2, maybe 3 years. hearing this has broken my heart. she fought for so so so many years. rest peacefully." While a fourth penned: "Leah Smith was a role model for so many people, she showed everyone what real strength is! I remember her ringing the bell the other year and now she’s passed. I didn’t know her personally but it’s so sad. We live in such a cruel world."

And a fifth person added: "So sad to hear about Leah Smith been following her for a couple years, was really hoping for a better outcome...rest easy Leah."
