Alison Hammond gets emotional showing off huge new garden as she thanks fans
Alison Hammond was overcome with emotion as she showed off her new home's fabulous back garden - telling fans their support has helped her release a dream.
The proud TV star gave her followers a little look at her incredible new pad and she is clearly looking forward to some warm summer days outside after flaunting her fantastic view. Late last year she sold her £700,000 home in Solihull in the Midlands where she has lived with 18-year-old son Aiden.
She is understood to have moved closer to London and took to Instagram to tell the world just how grateful she is. "Feeling very emotional that without all your support and love I wouldn't be looking at this view," she posted over a video of her home. "This is my new garden I would draw it as a child but never dreamed it would become a reality. Thank you."
It came as she was taking time off to move into her new house. The star has now shared an update with fans as she said it was "time to say farewell". Taking to her Instagram stories, Alison shared a short video of her old house, looking empty, as she wrote: "Thank you for the memories. I loved this house but time to say farewell."

Speaking on the By the light of the Moon podcast, Alison was interviewed by Holly Willoughby as she discussed her unusual home set up.

During the conversation, Alison explained that it is just not her and her son Aiden, who reside at her Birmingham abode but that they have two other houseguests - her gay best friend, Jason, and his pet pooch, Bobby. Highlighting how the unusual home situation works for her, she told Holly: "My family life is so like, if you look at it from the outside you’ll be like ‘how does that all work?’"
She continued: "I live with my gay best friend Jason, I've got Jason’s dog called Bobby, there is my son and me and it is such a great family and we work so well together. Jason’s there helping me with Aiden, Aiden is there helping Jason, the dog, helping me. It is just such a good little unit and I absolutely love my home life situation I cook for my boys and home life I am winning!"
Yesterday, the star posted a message saying she's having some time off to settle in: She confirmed she will take a well earned rest from the show as she will be away from This Morning for the rest of March. She said: "I’m taking the next month off @thismorning and lovely @josiegibson85 will be filling in for me with @dermotoleary . Gonna have some time off to move into my new house and chill with my son . See you in April love ya babs."
