Mel B admits she 'feels sad' for Geri Horner amid Christian Horner scandal

Spice Girls star Mel B has admitted that she "feels sad" for her bandmate Geri Horner amid the Christian Horner scandal.

Only recently, Geri's, 51, husband Red Bull F1 boss Christian, 50, was cleared following an investigation into his behaviour at work. However, his alleged messages to his female colleague were then shared with a number of media outlets and F1 figures.

Despite the furore, Geri publicly supported her husband at the Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia on the weekend and looked happy and relaxed as she mingled with royalty at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey earlier this week.

On Tuesday's Good Morning Britain, Spice Girls star Mel B, 48, appeared on the show where chat soon turned to the famous girlband and Geri. Host, Susanna Reid, said: "You've all rallied behind Geri of course because she's been going through a tough time!"

To which Mel B replied: "Oh yeah, we're all very supportive", the star added: "Yeah that's the thing when you're going through something like that you really do need your friends and family. And we're all very supportive and I feel really sad for her right now."

Mel B was then asked about a Spice Girls reunion for the iconic girlband's 30th anniversary to which the star quipped: "I'm always the one saying the Spice Girls are getting together and I always get told off." Although she teased: "But we are doing something... I just can't say."

It comes as Geri and Christian have had a difficult few weeks after allegations that Christian conducted "inappropriate behaviour" towards a female colleague, which he strenuously denied and has since been cleared by an internal investigation by Red Bull.

Geri has been supported by her fellow Spice Girls during the scandal and Mel B previously told the Mirror: "Oh God, we are all so supportive of each other, we would literally take a bullet for each other. Between the four of us, we’ve all been messaging her.

"I sent a message to her earlier. I just feel for her, and… oh my God. I just feel sad. But she knows she has us four that are with her." Despite being in contact with Geri over text message, Mel B is still in the dark over the details of the allegations.
