Madonna partied with Cillian Murphy after the Oscars and admitted she "needs a night off" following her near-death health scare.

The 65-year-old pop icon took a brief break from her Celebration World Tour to host her infamous star-studded bash following the Academy Awards on Sunday, which she co-hosts with her manager Guy Oseary. It’s the 16th year in a row the Material Girl hitmaker has held the opulent event, which is simply known as The Party, and was held at Guy’s home in the Hollywood Hills.

It was also sponsored by Gucci, and guests - including Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone - were given luxury monogrammed pieces from the Italian fashion house’s collection, and there was a strict no cameras policy. However, Madonna broke her own no-camera rule and shared behind-the-scenes snaps from the party on Instagram, as she confessed she was in desperate need of a night off.

Wearing an incredible vintage Christian Lacroix corset, which she originally wore on her Re-Invention World Tour in 2004, and a huge Marie Antoinette-inspired wig, the Queen of Pop looked almost unrecognisable with her age-defying appearance. In one photo, she can be seen posing alongside Cillian Murphy, who won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan’s epic blockbuster.

“Oscar Party was FUN! Not exactly A night off for a. Girl that i needs a night off but Im so Happy I got to meet my favorite A.C.T.O.R! #cillianmurphy - Congratulations,” Madonna captioned the slideshow. In one snap, she hinted at her exhaustion as she shield a sign that simply read: “Leave me alone. I'm tired!!” As well as the A-list guests at her party, Madonna was joined by some of her children, including David, 18, and 11-year-old twin daughters Stella and Estere.

Madonna suffered a terrifying health scare last year, when she was hospitalised after contracting a serious bacterial infection, which led to her being in a coma for 48 hours. Her Celebration world Tour was postponed during the health crisis. During her gig in Brooklyn, New York in December, she thanked the “important people” in the crowd who were with her in the hospital room. “There’s one very important woman who dragged me to the hospital. I don’t even remember, I passed out on the bathroom floor and woke up in the ICU. Thank you, Siobhan. She saved my life,” Madonna told the crowd.

According to British Vogue, Madonna's ultra-exclusive guest list featured Jennifer Lawrence, Salma Hayek, Robert De Niro, Matthew McConaughey, Lenny Kravitz, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis. It was rumoured Taylor Swift would be making an appearance at one of the Academy Awards after parties with boyfriend Travis Kelce when her private jet landed in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, just hours before the Oscars was due to kick off and it seems Madonna's party was her bash of choice.
