Love Island's Shaughna Phillips rushes baby daughter Lucia to hospital
Love Island star, Shaughna Phillips, ended up in A&E with her baby daughter, who was struck down with illness on Monday.
The 10-month-old became unwell after suffering from a "temperature". Thankfully, little Lucia is now back home as Shaughna updated her followers on Instagram. Sharing a picture of her daughter sucking her dummy in her arms, she wrote: "Tired mama and baby here. We had such a long day yesterday and didn't get home until late. And then 30 minutes after getting Lucia to sleep, she was sick everywhere and had a temp. Absolutely nothing worse than seeing her like that! Didn't end up going to sleep until 1am so today is a movie day followed by lots of cuddles and naps."
After a few hours, Shaughna shared another health update with her fans and wrote: "Been a long day up A&E. Grateful to be home with my darling, lots of love from mama."
The 29-year-old reality star shares Lucia with Billy Webb, who was jailed for nine years for drug offences last year. Despite shooting to fame on Love Island back in 2020, Shaughna has strived to keep her private life largely out of the spotlight. However, there was interest around her love life when she fell pregnant last year, particularly when Billy was arrested when she was seven months later - and he was sent to jail.
Shaughna has explained that she has been taking Lucia to prison so she can spend time with her father. Speaking on the Oh Baby! podcast alongside fellow mum Holly Connolly, she broke her silence on her ex's involvement in her daughter's life.
Baby boy has spent his life in hospital as doctors are 'scared' to discharge himThe reality star revealed: "I've been living in this weird life that I never, ever anticipated I would be living. It's not ideal this is not how I thought my life was going to be... The only thing that's difficult is that I need to bear in mind that one day, Lucia may listen to the words that I say, may read things that I've said."
She continued: "Before I was in this position, before I had a baby, if you had asked me would I ever, ever take my child into a prison, the answer would be absolutely not. Anyone that does that is crazy. And then, lo and behold, I'm now in this position. And I think the thing is, we're always going to be co-parents.
"And I know that me and my dad had the best relationship ever, and to me, my dad is the best person in the world. And I don't want Lucia to think differently of her father... So I take her [Lucia] to see him. She's not going to have any idea, and I would never, ever stop him from seeing her, ever."
