ITV issues help message after Oscars fans fume they can't watch red carpet
ITV were forced to issue help messages on social media as fans fumed about ITVX glitches in the Oscars coverage.
The biggest event in the showbiz calendar got under way with an extravagant red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. However, some fans tuning in for coverage of the 96th Academy Awards were left frustrated by the digital service.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, some fans vented their issues, with ITV official accounts apologising for the issues.
One user wrote: "Erm … is @ITVX broken? No red carpet coverage? #Oscar2024." The comment was met with a quick response by both the ITVX account and the ITVX Help channel.

Please can you confirm the device that this isn't working on? Feel free to give us a DM where we may be able to be a little more helpful."
Another fan hoping to tune in for the glitz and glamour put: "#Oscars2024 @itvx coverage broken, " along with a strained face.
Again, the company were quick to offer a prompt reply, with the user getting his service up and running again thankfully.
A third later fumed: "@ITV why can’t I watch the Oscars live streaming? What is going?"
While some fans struggled to watch the pre-show fun, the stars certainly made their presence known to those who were able to tune in. Among those stealing the headlines was Vanessa Hudgens who shared she is set to become a mum for the first time.
The actress beamed at cameras as she cradled her bump. The High School Musical revealed she is expecting her first child as she posed for pictures on the red carpet. The star wore a floor length black dress accessorised with diamond jewellery and her long dark swept up in a long ponytail updo.
