Ekin-Su slammed by Celeb Big Brother fans over 'demeaning' adult websites swipe
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has made her views on racy adult sites clear and she doesn't think highly of people joining them and fans are not happy.
The Love Island star never holds back when it comes to sharing what's on her mind and her latest comments are no different. Ekin-Su, 29, is currently appearing on ITV's Big Brother alongside the likes of Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and reality star Lauren Simon, who she was been quizzing over the past week.
But one conversation saw Real Housewives star Lauren discuss her rise to fame having previously worked as a hairdresser. Lauren, who grew up in Cheshire's affluent Golden Triangle told her housemates she had "always wanted to be famous".
"It gave me freedom, financial freedom that I could spend what I wanted because I was being paid for a job," she said. But when Louis branded her an "exception", she was keen to hit back, adding that women who "flaunt wealth but haven't got it," tend to mean something is going on behind closed doors.
Sharon interjected, saying: "Denise Richards, I'll give you an example, she was a magnificent looking girl when she was young, an actress, she was in James Bond. But her daughter is very very good-looking, very beautiful, very young, she's gone on that website…." before Louis commented: "OnlyFans? Or only girls..."
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filming"What message is she sending out to other young girls?" asked Sharon before Lauren quickly shut her down, saying: "They’re doing it for money, what else would you do? You have a choice. I was talking to someone, and they made a million pounds that year, on only fans."
Ekin-Su responded, bluntly, saying: "I'd rather have zero pounds than a million pounds doing it the wrong way, but have pride." Celebs including former Love Island stars Megan Barton Hanson and Thomas Powel have joined racy adult sites. But while OnlyFans was a huge hit, sites including XXXCLUSIVE, which offers creators and celebs more financial security and fewer risks of content leaking have seen a sudden rise in users in recent years.
Fans have since hit out at Ekin's comment, with one on X, formerly known as Twitter responding: "Really don't get the issue with Onlyfans. Their body, their life - and making a mint as well!" A second went on to pen: "Sorry but Ekin-Su has p***ed me off with that comment about OnlyFans. Would expect it from Sharon because she’s old but Ekin has genuinely pissed me off. Also she paints herself as a feminist? It's ok for her to talk in demeaning way about other girls? #ccbuk #bbuk."
"Can we stop shaming women for doing OF? Would I do it? No. But it ain't my business it’s their bodies if they wanna decide to do it or not. Just mind your business," another fumed. Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Oh Ekin-Su just annoyed me with that comment sorry."
Ekin's comments come after the Mirror revealed that while she often thanks fans on social media, she has a completely different view on some. Speaking before entering the house, she told us: "There's certain fans for instance that, they literally live through me. They write to me every day and I'm like 'do these people not have lives?' I'm like, it's crazy, they're always on Instagram 24/7, talking to me or having an opinion or just anything I do, they do. I love the fact you support me but this isn't healthy guys, this is not healthy."
