I'm skincare obsessed and this LED Face Mask gave me 'Botox' results

Despite scaring the life out of my partner, who stepped in from work to find me sitting on the couch, snacks in hand, staring at him with what I can only describe as a mask that looks like it’s come out of an Avengers movie - it was totally worth the jump scare for my now, glowing, youthful-looking skin (in my case anyway).

With my 28th birthday and wedding creeping closer, I’ve thought about treating myself to some Botox for a while now after spotting some lines across my forehead and a faint shadow in between my eyebrows. But, as someone who’s pretty afraid of needles, I decided to treat myself to an LED Light Therapy Face Mask instead to see if I could stall my trip to the clinic.

With four different infrared light settings for acne, wrinkles, pigmentation and skin rejuvenation, I decided to give the £249 Bondi Body LED Face Mask a go - and while it’s still quite pricey, it’s slightly cheaper than the well-known CurrentBody option which sells for £299.

As I work from home full-time, it was pretty easy to find the time to schedule in a 10 minute glow up - and I even tested it out for the first time whilst getting through some emails. The 4-in-1 mask comes complete with adjustable velcro straps so you can fit it perfectly to your face, eye shields, a charging cable and a controller which allows you to time your session, and your desired light setting.

There are four different lights to choose from depending on what results you’re after. I decided to try out the red light option which reduces inflammation, fine lines, and stimulates the production of collagen - and after one week, my skin already looked brighter and firmer.

Even my friends have noticed my glowing skin too, with some asking if I’ve had Botox! Despite it looking a little scary, it’s super easy to use once you’ve read through the included instructions manual. I also love how you can use the mask whilst multitasking - whether you’re watching your favourite Netflix show or in my case answering some emails - although you may want to steer away from Zoom calls to avoid giving your colleagues a fright.
