Geri pictured with Christian as Spice Girls rally around her amid sext scandal
Standing by her husband's side, Geri Horner looked every inch the dutiful wife amid allegations that Christian conducted "inappropriate behaviour" towards a female colleague.
The Red Bull boss has been at the centre of a scandal after WhatsApp messages were leaked which appeared to be written by Christian to his female colleague - a claim he has vehemently denied. Geri,51, has been standing firm in her support of her husband and the latest pictures to emerge of the couple at the Formula One Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia, proves nothing has changed. Wearing a flattering white outfit with a slightly open back, the Spice Girl cut an incredibly elegant appearance.
And she complimented her look with her red tresses tied up in a top knot bun. Speaking of supporting her pal, Melanie Brown, who is also known as Scary Spice, has said all of the members of the iconic girl group have been very protective of Geri. The Spice Girls first formed in 1994 and shot to global stardom with their debut single Wanna Be. The group was made up of Geri, Mel B, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham.
Speaking to the Mirror, Mel B told us: "Oh God, we are all so supportive of each other, we would literally take a bullet for each other. Between the four of us, we’ve all been messaging her. I sent a message to her earlier. I just feel for her, and… oh my God. I just feel sad. But she knows she has us four that are with her." Despite being in contact with Geri over text message, it seem Mel B is still in the dark over the details of the allegations.
She added: "All you can do is be there, just like the girls have been there for me, all I can do is be there for Geri. But it is horrible to see your friend going through something – something that you don’t quite know what it is – but that’s your friend and you want to protect her, no matter what. What us five have been through in the 30 years we’ve known each other, that’s a solid bond."
Red Bull 2023 F1 season launch live stream as RB19 unveiled at New York eventGeri first met Christian in 2009 via her friendship with F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone but it took five years before a romance blossomed. In 2015, after a year of dating, the couple tied the knot at St Mary's church in Woburn, Bedfordshire - but sadly Christian's parents boycotted the nuptials.
It's believed that they were unhappy about their son's split with his long-term ex-girlfriend Beverley Allen, who gave birth to the couple's daughter shortly before. At the time, speaking from their home in Gloucestershire just before the wedding, Christian's angry relatives said: "You can say that his parents are absolutely devastated. We won’t be going to the wedding."
He continued: "There is a lot more to this story than people know about – to do with his ex-partner." A source close to the couple said: "Over the years Christian has been very close to his parents – particularly to his dad who shares his love of motor racing – but recent events have thrown everything into doubt. His mum is particularly upset. It’s a real shame and everyone involved is upset." They added: "Weddings are expected to bring families closer together, but this engagement has driven a wedge between people."
