Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have been met with a backlash from some fans following a recent post which promoted their fitness brand.

The clothing range was promoted on Instagram earlier this week with a photo that showed Mark, 37, and Michelle, 36, modelling outfits from the collection. It came ahead of the former launching a pop-up shop in Manchester on Friday.

Just days earlier, Mark wrote in a post about the sportswear brand, in which he tagged his wife Michelle: "We are so proud of #ourbrand @aytee7 we have chosen every material and style with our personal taste, keeping at the forefront of our mind how YOU will feel most comfortable when working out. The whole range has 20% off all products at www.aytee7.com until Sunday! Be fast."

As reported by the Daily Star, not everyone was impressed. Some fans expressed disappointment over the promotional photo, with one person asking: "Can I ask why you only have super skinny people? Wouldn't it be nice to see some real-life models? Most people aren't a size six."

The comment has amassed more than a dozen likes and someone else said on the platform: "You need better sizes." Others however defended the brand, including someone who responded to the remark about "super skinny" models.

They said: "Not super skinny just sporty and athletic I'd say. Let's be honest this type of gear looks better when you are a fitter build. I'm not a model by any stretch of the imagination but if I was selling a product I'd want to see a model that shows it in the best light." And amid concerns about the sizing, someone else said: "Hoody's are oversized and really good quality."

According to the outlet, others weren't keen on pricing. One person is said to have written: "£59 for a pair of gym leggings wow."Another is quoted as saying: "Yeeeeah ridiculous." And someone else added: "Just looked and far too expensive £59 for a pair of leggings."

Not everyone was unimpressed though. One person commented on the post: "Great brand! Love it." Someone else said: "Lovely photo." Another person wrote: "Congratulations." Whilst someone commented recently: "Looks fab."

The news comes amid reports that Michelle has been considering her future. The former Coronation Street has been tipped for success in the US lately following her role in the Netflix series Fool Me Once, released earlier this year.

It's been claimed that she is "torn" over whether to pursue opportunities stateside or focus on projects in the UK, as the former would require time away from home.
