Emmerdale fans puzzled over 'forgotten' past storyline as Kerry returns
Emmerdale fans have been left baffled after bosses appeared to 'forget' a past storyline involving Kerry.
Kerry Wyatt - played by Laura Norton - made her return to the village last night when PC Swirling dropped her off dressed as Cher. She revealed she had been taken in by police for apparently stealing, but she denied that was the case. She made her presence known in the village tonight when she confronted Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd over what happened with Chloe Harris.
Tonight, Kerry slammed Charity for killing her ex Damon 'Harry' Harris - who is Chloe's father - but fans were left puzzled when a past storyline involving Kerry seemed to have been 'forgotten'. Fans of the ITV soap will remember that Kerry killed Frank. Both she and Amy accidentally started a fire that left Frank dead when they broke into the factory and tried to cover their tracks.
Kerry Wyatt - played by Laura Norton - was back in the Yorkshire village on Thursday (ITV)Taking to social media, one Emmerdale fan pondered: "Have the writers forgot what Kerry and Amy did to Frank," whilst a second added: "when is someone going to expose Kerry for killing Frank?!? #Emmerdale." A third wrote: "@emmerdale wow kerry calling charity a cold-blooded killer, hold on remember Frank! #emmerdale #justiceforfrank," with a fourth penning: "Obviously Kerry has forgotten about Frank… #Emmerdale #JusticeForFrank." A fifth added: "Has kerry forgotten about Frank??#emmerdale."
Laura Norton previously spoke to us about what had happened for Kerry in the 16 months she was absent from the Dales after the actress went on maternity leave. She explained that Kerry needed a bit of "reset" following Al's death.

Speaking about what her character has been up to, Laura told us: "She's been on a cruise ship as a Cher impersonator and she has been a naughty girl. How I've told myself the story of how it's unfolded - she had such an awful time. She made friends with Chas, she met this guy who she never thought in her wildest dreams would want to be with her. They had an affair, he died. And I think she just felt really low. I think those times in your life, you just remove yourself from everyone that knows you.
"I think she's just gone somewhere where she can reset as Kerry and be the best version of herself where she's not got a past and baggage around her. People know her as this really fun person and she's not being a terrible mum and she's not being called out for being a rubbish friend, I think she's just found a new lease of life but it's almost like reset her too far. She's just up to her old tricks and just making a few bad decisions and being a bit naughty, all in the name of the fun!"
