Meghan Markle has made an appearance at the South by Southwest Festival, which is also known as SXSW, with the Duchess delivering a moving speech about feminism.

Earlier this week, the Duchess was announced as a speaker at the iconic festival that celebrates the convergence of tech, film, music, education, and culture. And now, the former actress has taken to the stage to deliver her speech at the keynote event.

Meghan took part in the keynote titled Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen, with the Duchess joined by journalist Katie Couric, actress Brooke Shields and diversity equity and inclusion consultant at Peoplism, Nancy Wang Yuen.

The outfit that the Duchess donned was very chic and comprised of a slightly oversized, relaxed fit silk blouse that was tucked into a long, flowing skirt.

She wore her brunette locks down, tousled lightly and framing her face, with her makeup kept glamorous and incredibly glowy. With a bronzed face base and natural-looking eye look, Meghan completed the look with some gold earrings.

This comes after Meghan delivered a speech on feminism at the event on March 8, the opening day of SXSW, which is also International Women’s Day. The session focused on "how the ubiquitous nature of social media is creating an often dangerous environment which has led to serious mental health issues for teenage girls in particular," according to the festival description.

While at the event, Meghan spoke about the online bullying and abuse she has endured. The Duchess spoke about how it was "painful" and how she endured it all while pregnant with both Archie and Lilibet.

When Meghan was announced as a speaker at the event, the release and description of the event also touched on how women’s representation in media and entertainment "has come a long way, but there's still much to be done, especially for women of color and mothers".

Announcing the Duchess of Sussex as a participant, SXSW noted how she is a "feminist and champion of human rights and gender equity", as well as a New York Times bestselling author.
