Emmerdale fans 'solve' Ruby and Caleb's devastating past in abuse twist theory
Emmerdale viewers have questioned if there's more to Ruby Fox-Miligan's recent vile behaviour, and if she could be hiding a dark secret from her past.
Caleb Miligan's wife sparked concern this week with her controlling antics towards Caleb, and her cruel actions towards others. After weeks of her causing drama and isolating Caleb from the Dingles, she was thrilled to have finally turned the whole family against him.
But things took an awkward turn when Caleb turned on her, realising she was enjoying every minute of his turmoil. While he brought it all on himself by having an affair with Tracy, the wife of his nephew Nate Robinson, Ruby has been manipulating the situation to her advantage.
Events resulted in the husband and wife having a showdown this week, and a screaming match ended with Ruby mocking Caleb over his past. With Caleb desperate to fix things with his family, Ruby told him they didn't want or love him, and that she was the only family he had or needed.

Caleb called her messed up and said she needed help, to which she replied: "Why do you always do this to me, get me like this, what is wrong with you?"
Realising Caleb would choose the Dingles over her she exploded, with him calling her a "poisonous snake". As she cruelly commented on his past he stormed out, with Ruby sobbing.
She then smashed a glass against a wall while screaming before looking into the now distorted smashed mirror. But viewers watching the scenes, and the moments earlier where Ruby manipulated Caleb into acting against Tracy, were convinced there was more to it.

Viewers questioned whether Ruby may have been abusive towards Caleb in the past and whether this was why they split up, and why Caleb was seeking the love of his family.
Taking to social media, one fan theorised: "I don't think they have changed his character, I think he left Ruby as the relationship was toxic and HE was actually suffering from domestic abuse......she has now returned and he is back in that situation again. I think this is part of the reason he is crying out for the love and acceptance of his family."
Another fan posted: "She has alienated him from his family and is convincing him she is all he needs." A third added: "She’s very controlling," while a fourth said, referencing both Ruby abusive Tom King: "probably but they are both manipulative unhinged people so there would be major fireworks."
