Ariana Grande could have just gotten herself a Grammy nomination with her new album

The pop star released her seventh studio album or as Ariana's fans like to call it, AG7, on Friday. Eternal Sunshine was named after Jim Carey and Kate Winslet's 2004 film, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which follows a couple that breaks up and decides to forget about each other through a medical procedure.

One thing Ariana will make sure to do is to let her music do the talking. The singer appears to highlight her failed marriage to Dalton Gomez and her new relationship with Ethan Slater through her lyrics.

The second song in the album, Bye, appears to talk about how hard she tried to fight for her marriage to work when she sings: "This ain’t the first time I’ve been hostage to these tears / I can’t believe I’m finally moving through my fears / At least I know how hard we tried both you and me / Didn’t we, didn’t we?"

The fifth song in the album, Eternal Sunshine, appears to hit out at Dalton once again. In the first verse, Ariana sings about how she and an ex weren't meant to be. She sings: "I, I don't care what people say / We both know I couldn't change you / I guess you could say the same / Can't rearrange truth'."

She calls her unnamed ex a liar when she sings: "I've never seen someone lie like you do / So much, even you start to think it's true."

She then sings about how they've both moved on in the pre-chorus: "So now we play our separate scenes / Now, now she's in my bed, layin' on your chest'. In the chorus, she adds: "Hope you feel alright when you're in her / I found a good boy and he's on my side / You're just my eternal sunshine, sunshine."

Ariana introduces fans to her new man - thought to be Ethan - in the fifth track and continues on the second, Supernatural. The song is about a brand new relationship and how it feels out of this world. She talks about how she just wants to be around this man. The passion of the song then goes into lust and intimacy as she talks about wanting to be "claimed".

The chorus completes the song: "This love's possessin' me, but I don't mind at all / It's like supernatural / It's takin' over me, don't wanna fight the fall / It's like supernatural."

On, The Boy is Mine, the eighth song of the album, was inspired by Brandy and Monica's 1998 hit. In the pre-chorus, she reminisces on him having something she likes. It goes: "Somethin' about him is made for somebody like me / Baby, come over, come over (Oh my) / And God knows I'm tryin', but there's just no use in denying."
