Adult film star Emily Willis' brother hints at dark truth behind her 'overdose'
Emily Willis' brother has spoken out about the adult film star's hospitalisation, hinting at a darker truth behind her 'overdose'.
The 25-year-old was raced to hospital last month where she remains in critical condition. Police in Thousand Oaks, California said they were called to a potential drug overdose, but her heartbroken family doesn't seem to agree with the statement.
Her younger sibling Michael launched a GoFundMe page in a desperate bid to pay for his sister's medical expenses. They've already raised more than £24,000 ($32,000) as Emily continues treatment on a ventilator to help with her breathing.

On the crowd funding page, Michael penned a statement about his sibling's condition. Mid-way through the lengthy entry, he seems to reference what put Emily in the hospital in the first place, seemingly questioning the statement given by police officers.
Baby boy has spent his life in hospital as doctors are 'scared' to discharge him"Regarding the reports of an overdose, we want to clarify that they are not accurate as far as the doctors and my family know," he wrote. "Emily was receiving the treatment and help she needed at the time of the incident to overcome her struggles."
The actress was in rehab at a well known celebrity centre in Malibu for a little more than a week before going into cardiac arrest during treatment, according to TMZ. Her father, also called Michael, told the outlet the whole family were preparing for the worst.
Michael claimed that Emily wanted to get healthier and beat her substance abuse problem, hence why she checked herself into the rehab centre. He added that she weighed only 80 pounds (about 5 stone) before she went into rehab.
Her brother echoed this, adding: "She retired from the adult industry nearly two years ago and had aspirations of success in other fields of entertainment. Those who worked with her in her new career path knew she had the potential to achieve her dreams."

Writing on the GoFundMe page's update section, he thanked people for their generous donations, writing: "Once again, thank you so much for all the kind words and donations. It warms the hearts of her loved ones to know how beloved she is by those who know her. Any kind of support is appreciated, and nothing is expected or taken for granted. Your support gives us strength to endure and remain steadfast for Emily.
"We want to express our gratitude to those who have donated, and please know that your generosity will greatly aid in Emily's ongoing recovery process." He shared the update to clear up "misinformation" being shared on social media.
"I am posting this update to inform all her friends and fans who are concerned about my sisters wellbeing," her brother Michael wrote. "There has been a lot of misinformation regarding our beloved Emily's condition, and we wanted to clarify her progress and current state. Emily remains in a vegetative coma and is fighting for her life.
"We have been by her side as she slowly tries to recover, but it will be a challenging journey ahead. The road to recovery is difficult and uncertain ahead of us, but we are doing everything we can to make sure Emily gets the care and love she needs."
