KSI has slammed bitter rival Jake Paul after his boxing fight against Mike Tyson was announced.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul will face ring legend Tyson on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. There is a massive 30-year age difference between the two men and it's currently unclear as to whether the fight will be professionally sanctioned or will go ahead as an exhibition bout.

"50+ years old. No one wanted this... So sad to see man," KSI wrote of the fight. The social media star, who has been linked to a fight against Paul for several years, wasn't the only name in combat sports to criticise the fight. Conor McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis wrote to Paul: "You're fighting someone who was born in 1966. Have some shame."

Former UFC world champion Michael Bisping also said: "You should be ashamed of yourself. And the biggest joke is you don't even slightly realise why." Paul fought as a professional boxer for the second time on undercard of Tyson's last fight, an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020.

"Whether you’re team Paul or team Tyson, or whether you’re a lifelong boxing fan or watching your first fight, you’re not going to want to miss this event. I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put Iron Mike to sleep," Paul said.

Tyson has previously voiced his admiration for Paul's transition from internet fame to a career in the ring, but has promised to stop the influencer in their fight. “I'm very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul," Tyson said. “He's grown significantly as a boxer over the years.

"It will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a 'kid' can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT. It's a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”
