Mrs Hinch fans say mould 'disappears' in minutes with 'fantastic spray

There's nothing more frustrating than trying to banish stubborn mould - but cleaning fans have come to the rescue with a "fantastic" spray recommendation.

There are many different ways to remove mould in your home, but fans of Mrs Hinch have shared the one product they will always reach for while cleaning.

Mould appears when there is moisture build-up from water vapour and condensation on windows and if it isn't treated properly can lead to some unwanted and serious health issues. One woman took to the popular Facebook group We Love Mrs Hinch to ask fellow cleaning fanatics how they battle cleaning mould.

She explained that she had just moved into a new home and noticed the mould growing on one of the walls. She also shared a photo of it and in a desperate plea for help she wrote: "Help! We have just moved in and have noticed all of this mould! How do I clean it/prevent it coming back," followed by a crying face emoji.

It wasn't long before the new homeowner got some crucial advice, as many took to the comments to offer up some suggestions. One cleaning fan shared the one product she will always pick up when it comes to tackling mould and commented: "The Cif Mould Stain Remover is fantastic. You just spray it on and leave it for 15 minutes and the mould disappears!" She further advised: "Once you've cleaned the mould off (wear a mask gloves and goggles to avoid spores getting into your eyes and lungs) paint a mould-resistant paint over it."

The handy commenter then offered some help on how it could have happened and said: "It depends on what's causing it. I've been living in a rented house with windows that are so run down you can see the brickwork through the gap around the frame and they're constantly full of condensation between the glass so the windows can't hold any more moisture so it's causing a major mould problem, we've even got it growing on the outside of the house!!! If you can find the cause you'll be able to prevent it coming back more."

Aside from the handy suggestion, others warned about avoiding the use of bleach as one Facebook user wrote: "Don't use bleach whatever you do.. bleach or any products involving bleach will just feed it and it'll grow back worse," while another added: "Don't use mould spay with bleach in it it's really dangerous."
