Meet Kate's cousin - Uncle Gary's daughter who was nearly Pippa's bridesmaid

Celebrity Big Brother viewers have been getting to know one of Princess Kate's relatives this week - her uncle, Gary Goldsmith. He's only been in the famous house for a few days, but he's not shied away from sharing his view on the Royal Family.

And his controversial appearance - which has reportedly gone down extremely badly with the Middleton family - has also turned people's thoughts to the rest of Kate's relatives.

Her cousin Tallulah Goldsmith was reportedly nearly a bridesmaid at Pippa Middleton's wedding - in what had been an attempt on Pippa's part to heal the family rift.

There have reportedly been troubles between Goldsmith and Middleton families for some years, but according to reports back in 2017 Pippa had a plan to try to repair things.

In November 2016, just months before Pippa's May marriage to hedge fund manager James Matthews, the Mail Online reported that the younger Middleton sister had attempted to offer an olive branch by telephoning her 'black sheep' uncle directly to discuss Tallulah having a role in the ceremony.

A source told the publication:"'Pippa called [Gary] about two weeks ago and they had a very friendly conversation. 'Gary knows he's on shaky ground so he's desperate not to put a foot wrong by spilling the beans. All he will say for now is that he's hopeful that Tallulah will be walking down the aisle behind her cousin as a bridesmaid. Tallulah is thrilled at the prospect."

In the end, however, Pippa selected Countess Philippa Hoyos, Lily French, Avia Horner, and niece Princess Charlotte as her bridesmaids, with Tallulah left out of the running. Tallulah, who was a pupil at the prestigious Stowe School at the time, was later photographed attending the ceremony with dad Gary. A follow-up report by the Mail Online revealed that, in a perceived snub, the father and daughter pair were not invited to the evening party at the Middleton's Bucklebury mansion.

Now 21, clever Tallulah is a graduate of Newcastle University, where she earned a degree in psychology and medical sciences. She reportedly also has a talent for music, having achieved a diploma in singing alongside her academic studies.

According to her LinkedIn page, the new grad now works as a well-being engagement manager at Hapstar, an organisation that offers wellness and fitness services. Tallulah also regularly keeps her Instagram followers updated with posts about her life, including her trips to Ibiza where Gary previously hosted Kate and Prince William at his £6.5 million 'Maison de Bang Bang' villa.

In an interview given back in 2013, two years after Kate and William's fairytale wedding, Gary told Hello! that he had drawn inspiration from how the Middleton siblings were brought up when raising his daughter. Gary shared: "I think the girls and James were beautifully brought up and I'm trying to emulate that with Tallulah."
